Company prep class- This is a class for all students who have had a minimum of 3 years of dance who would like to begin working towards auditioning for our award winning competition team. This class will help you develop the skills and technique to take your dancing to the next level.
Ballet Barre Stretch - This is a Company class geared towards increasing flexibility
Intro to Choreography - Company class offered for budding choreographers. We will have exercises in Improv ect.... and give students a chance to choreograph and teach their own pieces.
Beginner Lyrical - For students age 6-12. This class is offered for students who love the ballet style to more contemporary music.
Beginner Musical Theatre - Do you have a dramatic kid who likes to sing along to songs while dancing their hearts out???? This class is perfect for you.
Beginner Liturgical - This class will use improv exercises to build choreography to Contemporary Christian music. All dances will be an expression of Faith and have a message that will minister to the audience
Home school Beginner Combo - This class will be offered for ages 5-10. Classes will be held in the mornings and will be an introduction to all styles of dance.
Home school Gymnastics - This class will follow the combo class in the morning and will be for the same age groups. This class will be an introduction to gymnastics but can be individualized to students abilities
Company Class for WSE students - This class will be offered to our Company students who attend Wayne School of Engineering. This class will begin as a stretch and technique class but may evolve into a choreography class as the year progresses
K I - ages 2.5 – 4, KII - ages 4-5- Classes meet once a week. Includes instruction in tap, ballet, gymnastics & creative movement. K-I & II - 45 minutes
Beginner Combination Class – This class is for the beginner student age 5-6 (tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, gymnastics)
Classes are currently offered at - Mount Olive Christian Academy. We come to the daycare to provide instruction in tumbling and Kinderdance.
Enrollment in all other dance classes will be based on age, experience or ability. We will recommend a class to you when you register
Beginner Level classes - Classes meet once a week in each individual dance technique (tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop and gymnastics) Students may choose classes they are most interested in. All dance classes are 30 minutes and gymnastics classes are 45 minute classes. Tap/jazz combo is 1 hour
Intermediate level classes - Classes meet once a week in each individual dance technique tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, gymnastics, Pointe (ages 12 and up + 3 years ballet experience) Classes are offered in 2 age groups ( 7-9) and
Power Tumblers is an advanced tumbling class geared toward cheerleaders and students who are ready to master handsprings and running tumbling passes.
Advanced level classes - ages 14 & up Dance experience is required to sign up for this level. Classes meet for 45 minutes once a week in each individual technique. Tap, Lyrcal, Jazz, Hip Hop, Gymnastics, Pointe
Competition Team Classes - Students ages 7 yrs. and up. Students must audition to become a member of our Competition Team. Students must have at least 3 yrs. dance experience. To inquire about Competition Team email email@example.com

"Hip hop developed from several cultures, including jazz, rock, tap and American and Latino cultures. Hip hop is a very energetic form of dancing. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities."
"Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical is generally smoother and a bit faster than ballet, but not quite as fast as jazz. A lyrical dancer uses movement to express strong emotions."

Pointe is an advanced level of Ballet that requires a special type of shoe that allows dancers to press up fully on their toes. 12 years and up + 3 years experience in ballet required.
